‘When He Walks By, Shoot Him’: Russian Occupiers Shoot a Civilian in Kupiansk
‘When He Walks By, Shoot Him’: Ukrainian Armed Forces Intercepted Russian Occupiers’ Conversation About Shooting a Civilian in Kupiansk.
In a published radio intercept, one Russian occupier orders another, with the call sign ‘Michael,’ to kill a civilian man in Kupiansk when he passes by.
The radio intercept was published by the 10th Army Corps.
‘Yes, Michael, look more carefully, there’s a civilian walking there, wearing a blue panama hat. When he passes by, shoot him and hide the body somewhere. Just let him get closer, he’s looking around carefully,’ the conversation says.
“This is no accident — it’s their strategy of terror. They don’t come to “liberate” — they come to kill, torture and intimidate. Their war is not against the army, but against the civilian population. Such orders are not just a violation of the Geneva Conventions. These are war crimes in their purest form,” said the 10th Army Corps.
